Here's an old tourney report where I finally won with my Dual Beholder band. The original link can be found here:

First I've been playing a dual Beholder band since last summer. It's had off and on success with most of it being matchups (no undead, constructs, or evade damage) and what I rolled with my eye rays and they rolled for saves. As of late I've been bringing them out as there wasn't alot of their bad matchups being played locally.
So today we had a 200 point tourny and I looked around the room to see what was being played. I've got several warbands that I carry with me and if I see alot of bad matchups for the Beholders, there's no point in playing them as it's only going to be a bad day for me. So, having seen that there wasn't alot of bad matchups for me out there today I chose to go with them.
We had 10 people show up and first round I got paired up against Troy. Troy's a newer player who's been playing for probably a little over a month. He's starting to get more expierience though and is showing potential with each tourny. He played a LE beater band with Justicator, Duegar Champ, and Orog Warlord as the commander. We are still using tiles so we set up the board and I got a good position for some first turn eye rays. I fire and disentegrate his Chraal. The Chraal failed his save and then also failed his morale save and routed off the board. The game went along the same way with me rolling a total of 3 or 4 disentegrates on stuff. He failed quite a few saves and I only took 15 damage on each Beholder.
Next round I got paired up with one of my bad matchups. I played Tony (visage on here I think) who was playing a dual Death Slaad, Orc Champ, Tiefling, and filler band. He got a good setup on the board and had me blocked in so I couldn't get off alot of eye rays on him until he was ready. He got off 1 Chaos Hammer and I made all my saves on it thankfully. After that he swarmed a Beholder and I got hot with some rolls and was able to disentegrate a Death Slaad and make it rout, disentegrate the Orc Champ to finish it off, and turn the other Death Slaad to stone when it was at full hp. A tough matchup that went my way due to some good rolls on my part and some bad rolls on Tony's.
Third round I played Keith (Thorsdad on here I think) who was playing a 3 Orc Champ, Eye of Gruumish, Tiefling, and filler band. Definately a bad matchup. Once again however my opponent rolled horribly and out of over 9 attacks, he hit once. I rolled pretty well during this one as well and ended up going 3-0 at this point.
Fourth round I played Ken who was playing a 3 Duegar Champ, Gauth, Dark Naga, and filler band. He got a great set up on the board against me and I had no line of sight at all hardly on him. I got off a few eyes rays as he advanced, but I rolled pretty low on them so they weren't able to do anything. After that he was able to do some damage with the Naga's lightning bolt and the Gauth's eye ray. One Beholder fell and after that he wore down my other one. I did roll back to back disentegrates, but it was too little too late and I lost the match. 3-1 total for the day.
After that it was up to DCI and I had the best win percentage to emerge as champion for the day. Beholders aren't tier 1, but they are still a dangerous band.
