Here's a tournament report for a 200 point Constructed DDM tournament that we had on 04/22/2007 at Yottaquest in Cincinnati Ohio. Here's the original link:

So yesterday me and 3 other guys from KY (Visage, Kenwig, and Ragnarok) all drove up to Cincinnati to play in one of their 200 point tournaments before their Qualifier on June 2nd. Some of the local guys had drove up there for their Unhallowed Prerelease and liked the store and wanted to make a return trip at some point before the Qualifier. This was my first trip up there but I was impressed by the store. Very nice shop with a good selection of stuff.
So when deciding what to play I figured I'd stick with the band I'd been practicing, Ultroforge. My band was:
Ultroloth
Firegiant Forgepriest
Dragonmark Heir of Deneith
Bat Familiar tied to the Dragonmark
Timber Wolf
Goblin Skirmisher x 3
Map: Keep of Fallen Kings
They had 10 total show up to play. Out of those 10 bands, they had 3 Ultroforge and 1 UltroQuad. I fully expected to have a mirror match at some point but I somehow missed them all and didn't have to face another Ultroloth all day.
Round 1 I got paired with Scott. Scott was running Cleric of Sune, Marid, Centaur Warhulk, Valenar Nomad Charger, and Crow Shaman. I won map. Scott set up in one of the corners and first round we both started moving up. Second round we got positioned and then third round we engaged. I was able to route the Valenar and kill the Centaur before taking any damage on the Firegiant, Ultroloth, or the Dragonmark. Scott's dice really were pretty bad as he'd only had 2 rolls above a 5 at that point. He moved up the Marid to attack a Goblin that was on my VA and he rolled a 1. Scott conceded at that point as his dice just weren't up to the task of taking on the Firegiant. 1-0
Second round I got paired with Sean. Sean was running Tiefling Captain, Redspawn Firebelcher x 2, Maralith, Orc Wardrummer, Timber Wolf, and Twig Blight. I got map again. He set up in the corner and first round we marched up. Second round he got off a belch onto all 3 skirmishers. I had casts immune fire on the Dragonmark so she couldn't be belched on. We engaged and I got a few hits on one of the Firebelchers. He moved up Maralith to hit me. I then tried to Ray of Enfeeble Maralith. I missed the spell resistance but used quick casts to try it again. I passed it the 2nd time and nerfed Maralith. With her nerfed I concentrated on the Firebelcher and was able to kill it. I then went to work on Maralith and the other Firebelcher. He ended up getting the Dragonmark and getting the Firegiant down to a morale check. But with Maralith nerfed he just wasn't able to do enough damage to the Firegiant before the giant was able to get her. 2-0
Third round I got paired with one of KY guys that came up, Visage. Visage was running Cleric of Sune, FB x 2, Gnome Trickster, Elf Warsinger, Dwarf Battlerager, Devis, and Xeph Warrior. I got map again. We both set up in the upper start areas and marched forward. I have played this band a few times and know that positioning with the FGFP, Ultroloth, and Dragonmark are key. With the FB being invisible it's hard to protect the Ultroloth. You have to try to make it so that they won't get a shot off on him and have to go after the FGFP first. Visage got rid of most of my fodder except for the Bat and 1 Goblin that were on my victory area. He put the Dwarf and the Warsinger on them. He then spent a total of 6 attacks over 3 rounds missing them. That was pretty big as it allowed me to keep my position with the Firegiant and not have to come to him to get points. He spent a few rounds waiting for it to happen and it didn't which I was fine with as the FB were taking burnout. When he did engage I think they were down to 70 hps. They both went on the Firegiant and flanked him. One hit and the other missed with a +19. I won the next init and between the Firegiant and the Dragonmark I was able to finish off 1 FB. She missed her deathstrike. The other one fired back at the Forgepriest and hit once I think. He finally finished off my fodder that round. Next round I won init again and finished off the other FB. She hit her Deathstrike but I bodyguarded it. He then put the Battlerager and Warsinger so that they could charge next round. After that it was a matter of taking down what he had left. 3-0
Last round I got paired with Joey. Joey was running Vlakith, Thrall of Blackrazor, Large Black Dragon, Lolth's Sting x 4, and Skeletal Archer. He got map so we played on Mithral Mines. He spread out his army with most of the Sting's going up top towards Victory Areas and his LBD going up there as well. He sent the Thrall and Vlakith down towards me at the bottom. I moved up everyone and put Immune Electricity on the FGFP. Next round he charged in with the Thrall and then used haste to hit again. He then casts a fireball with Vlakith on the Firegiant in hopes to try to get the Dragonmark and Ultroloth in it. He failed Spell Resistance on the Ultroloth so it only hit the Thrall and the Dragonmark. The Thrall took 20 damage and the Dragonmark saved to take 10. I then used 1 attack on the FGFP to hit the Thrall and then used an Ultroloth's Scorching Ray to fnish him off. We had a few fodder battles with me piling everything on the LBD. I got one Skirmisher crit on him and then the TW hit as well. Next round I moved up and put everything on Vlakith. She took an AOO from the FGFP and hit him with a Disentegrate. He made the save. We continued our fodder war with me losing that battle and only having 1 Skirmisher at the end of it. Next round I was able to finish off Vlakith. He then moved his LBD down. I took it on the next round and was able to finish it off. After that I was up 180-60 so I moved onto a VA and his Skeletal Archer and 2 Lolth's Stings that were left werent' able to do anythign to get me off of it. 4-0
We got 3 boosters for prizes. For coming in first I got a booster of Unhallowed and got a Ice Elemental. The other boosters had a Bralani Eladrin and King Obould Many-Arrows in them. I ended up trading the Elemental for my 3rd WWL. Overall it was a very fun day and I was impressed with Yottaquest and can't wait for the return trip up for the Qualifier.
